Roto X-Drive Casement Hardware

CHESTER, CT – The X-Drive™, a new line of casement hardware featuring a compact design, optional removable cover, and a wide variety of colors and finishes is now available from Roto Frank of America, Inc.

The X-Drive, which features a smaller footprint and lower profile, is available in Roto’s standard high quality steel and 100% stainless steel for strength, smooth performance and long life. Its combination of reliability, streamlined design and flexibility make it an ideal solution for both vinyl and wood window manufacturers.

“When we approached the design of X-Drive, our newest generation of casement operators, we wanted it to be compact and extremely flexible in terms of how manufacturers can purchase and inventory them, as well as offer options to their customers,” says David Gilson, National Sales and Marketing Manager for Roto Hardware Systems.

Gilson continues, “With X-Drive, window manufacturers have the option of stocking a single operator and choosing from a wide variety of finishes and optional covers — both plastic and metal. Having a finished operator with a separate removable cover will appeal to wood window manufacturers who can leave the handle and cover off, and ship the unit out to customers who can easily apply them after the window has been stained. And if vinyl window manufacturers don’t need a cover, they are not forced to buy one.”

For vinyl applications, the finished operator and an optional removable, plastic cover are available in multiple colors. A metal cover is also available in various powder coat colors to match the finished operator and provide even more color options. Architectural finishes include brass, antique brass, chrome, brushed chrome, brushed nickel, pewter, oil rubbed bronze. Custom colors and custom covers are also available with high volume orders.

The operators are available in single arm, dual arm, awning, and split arm. 100% stainless steel is also available for superior corrosion resistance.
